De papieren getuigen van roof en ontrechting
The looting organisation Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (ERR) was closely involved in the inventory and seizure of household effects of Jewish residents. Almost every Jew in the Netherlands was affected by their activities and many bystanders witnessed the spoliation of household goods from houses whose inhabitants had often been deported. These house clearances were commonly referred to as ‘pulsing’, after a moving company named Puls. The ERR archives contain lists of the houses that were cleared out and thousands of forms which document the details of this process. NIOD and NOB worked together to improve the accessibility of the archive by means of crowdsourcing.
