Biography
I work as a communications officer at NIOD and graduated in History (UVA) and Information Marketing and Management (HBO for Book Trade and Publishing). Since 2010 I work as a communications officer for the international project European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI), of which NIOD is the coordinator. I have joint responsibility for EHRI's internal and external communication, website, newsletter, social media, events and for drawing up communication plans. Between 2015-2019 I was also involved in the communication of another large European project, PARTHENOS, in which NIOD was a partner.
Besides EHRI, I occasionally do other communication work for NIOD. For example, I was co-editor of the anniversary book 'Oorlog in onderzoek – 75 jaar NIOD' ('War in Research – 75 years of NIOD').
Between 2007-2010 I was a project assistant and researcher at NIOD for the project 'Toepassing en uitvoering van de wetten voor oorlogsslachtoffers' ('Application and implementation of the laws for war victims'). Before that, I worked for the Jewish Historical Museum on various exhibitions and the renewal of the permanent exhibition, including 'De geschiedenis van de Joden in Nederland in de 20ste eeuw' ('The History of the Jews in the Netherlands in the 20th Century'). I was also involved for two years as a researcher and project officer at SOTO, the Stichting Onderzoek Terugkeer en Opvang (Return and Reception Research Foundation, on victims of WWII).
