
Solange Fontana is an Africa Researcher at the NIOD, with a focus on D.R. Congo. Her research interests include social networks in conflict, ‘resilience’ in and to conflict, civilian protective agency, and famine.
Solange’s academic work is grounded in over 20 years’ experiences as an aid worker in conflict and famine-affected areas of Africa and the Middle East. She continues to work closely with the policy and aid community, using research to support evidence-based policy and programming.
